The founder of local listings website HugoFox.com has donated £200 towards an Indian education charity, Each One Teach One, through its association with Newbury-based Cheam School.

Hugo and Archie Thompson present Marion Scott-Baker with a £200 donation

The charity was established to enable children who have the benefit of education to pass their knowledge onto other less fortunate children in their country.

Michael Thompson, founder and chairman of HugoFox.com, the Kingsclere-based listings website, donated to the cause as a thank you to one of the charity’s main supporters, Marion Scott-Baker, who is also Head of Pre-Prep at Cheam School near Newbury.

Michael says: “My sons Hugo and Archie attend Cheam School and it was due to Marion’s passion for helping children develop their literacy which led to Reading-based charity the Dyslexia Research Trust conducting tests at the school. Both my sons were diagnosed with having serious eye conditions which were only treatable due to them being picked up so early. I wanted to thank Marion for her foresight in helping children both in the UK and India, and I’m delighted that our donation is being used to support such a worthwhile cause.” (more…)
